How often do we meet?

Our meetings are usually held on the third Sunday of each month at the Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Post 1520 in Colonie at 2 pm. The meetings last about two hours. In addition, informal coffee get-togethers are planned at different locations in various communities in the Capital Region. Prospective members are encouraged to join us. Dates and locations will be announced on this website so be sure to check back often for updates.

How do we support each other?

We draw on each others' experiences at whatever stage of military life our children are in. A majority of our  membership have sons or daughters that are currently deployed. We share common experiences in uncertain times. We are there for each other to share our hope, pride, and fears. We are strictly non-political. As such, we focus on supporting each other and our military sons and daughters.

What kind of activities are we involved in?

Some of our happiest moments as a new chapter have been helping to welcome home our military children. We also  participated in Echo Taps at the Saratoga National Cemetery on Armed Forces Day by leading the Pledge of Allegiance and marching  in patriotic parades. We hope to soon become involved in Sew Much Comfort sewing adaptive clothing for our wounded troops. We also send out Freedom Boxes to our deployed troops.
